SANTA CLARA, Calif., April 11, 2023

Fortanix® Inc., the innovative multi-cloud data security company powered by Confidential Computing, today announced it has named sales veteran Ron Longo chief revenue officer, overseeing the company’s global sales team as it looks to build further on its significant momentum in the data security market. With more than two decades of sales experience across both private and publicly traded companies, Longo was most recently vice president of worldwide SDWAN/SASE sales at VMware.

Ron's years of sales leadership, in hypergrowth startups as well as public companies is the ideal mix for us as Fortanix shifts gears from a startup to a scaleup," said Anand Kashyap, CEO and co-founder of Fortanix. "His ability to drive global revenue scale and form deep rooted customer relationships will be particularly important for us."

“I have had the pleasure of working with some of the most innovative businesses in tech over the course of my career, but it could be argued that none have been as uniquely positioned in the market as Fortanix is right now,” Longo said. “Fortanix has proven to be a true pioneer in the data security landscape at a time when it has never been more vital, and I’m looking forward to building on its impressive growth trajectory. I couldn’t be more thrilled to get started.”

A proven and seasoned sales leader, Longo brings impressive credentials to the chef revenue officer position. He joins the company from VMware, where he served as vice president of worldwide SDWAN/SASE sales. Before that he was vice president of worldwide sales at VeloCloud Networks, which VMware acquired in late 2017.

Previously, Longo held positions as vice president of North America sales at OnMobile and senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing at Dilithium. Earlier in his career, Longo was chief executive officer at the venture-backed security technology company, Red Condor, and before that was senior vice president of sales and marketing at Mahi Networks.
