December 2025

As Fortanix enters its tenth year, I want to begin by thanking our customers, partners, and employees for your trust and continued support. Our mission-securing the world’s data-has never been more relevant, and your partnership is what enables us to deliver on it.
Two major technology shifts are reshaping the world around us: Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Both will redefine enterprise security in the coming decade, and Fortanix is positioned at the very center of this transformation.
The Global Transition to PQC
2026 marks the beginning of large-scale PQC adoption. Governments and regulators worldwide-including NIST, the NSA (CNSA 2.0), the EU, and financial regulators-have set clear expectations and timelines. The industry will formally enter Phase 1 of the migration: the discovery and inventory of cryptographic assets, assessing risk across applications, networks, and infrastructure.
This inventory stage is not optional. It is the prerequisite for every subsequent phase of PQC migration.
Phase 2, extending roughly through 2030, will focus on modernization-updating systems and workflows to adopt NIST-approved PQC algorithms for medium- and high-risk use cases.
At Fortanix, we accelerated our investments to support this transition:
- Fortanix Key Insight continues to evolve as the industry’s most comprehensive platform for PQC readiness, giving organizations visibility into where classical cryptography is used and where risks are highest.
- Fortanix Data Security Manager-the world’s first SaaS-delivered HSM with FIPS 140-2 Level 3 options-already supports the leading NIST-selected PQC algorithms. This enables organizations not only to assess PQC exposure but to begin actual implementation and migration today.
The Era of AI Factories
AI is moving from experimentation to industrialization. Over the next few years, analysts estimate that up to 100 GW of AI-optimized data-center capacity-what NVIDIA calls AI Factories-will be built globally, powered by tens of millions of GPUs.
To consumers, AI is already ubiquitous. But the next wave of adoption will happen inside the enterprise:
- Traditional stacks will be “AI-enabled.”
- Entirely new AI-native stacks will emerge-built on agentic frameworks and increasingly autonomous workloads.
- And with this will come heightened demands for security, privacy, provenance, and sovereignty.
Enterprises will need to secure models, prompts, responses, embeddings, fine-tuning data, and context windows-all of which represent sensitive business logic.
This year, Fortanix made a meaningful leap forward:
- We became an NVIDIA partner, integrating confidential computing and key security directly into AI Factory architectures.
- Fortanix Data Security Manager now secures keys, secrets, and sensitive data across the AI lifecycle.
- Fortanix Confidential Computing Manager orchestrates the deployment of models and agents into trusted execution environments-delivering verifiable, hardware-rooted runtime trust.
- And we launched Armet AI, our turnkey generative AI orchestration platform, where every component of the AI pipeline-from data ingestion to agentic inference-is protected using confidential computing.
Looking Ahead to 2026
As we close this year, I am incredibly excited about what’s ahead. In 2026:
- We will expand our leadership in PQC, strengthening our discovery, assessment, migration, and implementation capabilities across Key Insight and Data Security Manager. Any organization beginning its PQC journey will find Fortanix to be the ideal partner.
- In AI, we will deepen our integrations across the orchestration and AI Ops layers of the AI Factory reference architecture-making confidential computing seamless for model builders, agent developers, and enterprise AI teams.
Thank you again for your partnership and for the trust you place in Fortanix. The next decade of secure computing will be defined by PQC and AI-and together, we will help build it.
Warm regards,
Anand

Webinar: Drive Crypto Agility with Next-Gen HSM
Legacy Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), siloed key vaults, and cloud point solutions can no longer keep pace with the speed, complexity, and threats of today’s AI-driven, quantum-accelerated world, leaving data and application security more vulnerable than ever.
Join Team Fortanix for an on-demand webinar to explore:
- The limitations of legacy HSMs - why scaling, compliance, and agility are constant pain points.
- The downside of point solutions and siloed security - fragmented tools mean fragmented control.
- The rise of Next-Gen HSMs - unified, scalable, and built for the future.
